“I wanted to recreate the feeling of pure joy when you bite into a grape packed with water and sweetness through the Vinosource Collection textures that are comprised with organic Grape water.” Sounds wonderful right? The relaunch of the Vinosource Collection by Caudalie is definitely dehydrations best friend. You can instantly feel the moisture hit your skin when you apply these. This super comforting feeling plus the refreshing scent really tickles all the scences and gives a spa like feeling even on first application. These beauties scream great skin.
I have harped on for a long time that all skin types from oily to dry and everything in between can become dehydrated. It has nothing to do with the level of oils in your skin but moreso the level of moisture or lack of it in the case of dehydration. With this in mind the clever people at Caudalie have four fab creams that suit your skin type but also tackles your dehydration.
Before I go into each individual product I just have to give props to the seriously cute packaging. Not only are the tubes really handy and user friendly but seriously, just look at the colours!!! Pink perfection if you ask me! The girly girl in me leapt with excitement when I first caught an eyeful of these. And I think they go very well with the Adorn.ie décor!!
But all playing aside I have tried these out and knew instantly that this skincare meant business, even if it does have the cutest packaging know to us beauty lovers!
Let’s start with the one for us sensitive gals and the one that didn’t like the camera (damn lighting!!!). Introducing the moisturising sorbet. This is a gel-cream formula which is very cooling on the skin and definitely instantly calms the skin.
It is packed with grape water, aqua-regulating complex, soothing camomile and the powerful anti-oxidant grape Polyphenols. All of these together sooth the skin, reduce redness and hydrate the skin immediately on contact. 90% of people tested agreed that this soothed the skin, while 77% seen a reduction in redness.
I always had oily skin as a teen but yet suffered from bad dehydration and always struggled to find the perfect products. The Moisturising Mattifying Fluid from the Vinosource range is perfect for this. It is oil free, controls oil, and is lightweight but yet still reactivates the skin’s hydration mechanisms and replenishes its water reserves.
This leaves the skins moisture levels balanced but yet it is proven to give 100% matte skin after only one hour. This fluid even has a blotting effect which actively reduces sebum.
My favourite way to use this one is as a base under makeup. I love that no oils come through my makeup after using this but yet my skin doesn’t feel tight or uncomfortable.
The moisture recovery cream, designed for Dry skin is classified as a “cocooning cream” which provides the skin with the plant lipid nutrients it requires to be nourished and comforted on a daily basis.
It also restores the layer of the skin which protects itself from infection, irritation, allergic reaction and dehydration. This skin barrier is essential for the general health and maintenance of our skin.
It does all of this plus makes dry skin feel soft, subtle and comforted all day long. 96% of users tested agree with these claims!
The last of the gang is the Rescue Cream which is for very dry skin. This has similar effects to the dry skin version but this is much more powerful and nourishing for skins that really needs it.
This nourishes deep down and almost envelopes the skin to ensure it is comforted and moisturised. 100% people agreed that the skin is intensely nourished and tightness is reduced considerably according to 95% of people.
This is only for people with seriously dry skin that needs a lot of TLC. I actually use this on other areas of my body that are very dry and this has really helped them heal well. Such a great product!
They all come in a 40ml tube and cost around €30 per tube which I think is a really great price for high quality, effective skincare. They are available from Space NK shops and available online here.
You can probably tell I am a huge fan and would genuinely highly recommend these products. Just one last note to mention. The four creams have very different textures. The Sorbet (left above) is so lightweight and refreshing on the skin while the comfort cream(far right above), as the name suggests is thicker and much richer. Each of the textures work perfectly with the skin type they are designed to treat so choose what your biggest concern is apart from dehydration and you will be on the right track.
The Caudalie cult classic Grape Water also got a pretty makeover for Summer 2016. This product is exactly the same as it’s ever been but just with new packaging. The packaging is only around until the end of summer though so get it while you can.
For those of you that don’t know the product it is basically a mist that soothes, refreshes and hydrates all skin types. It is great for sensitive skin and works under or over makeup to refresh and calm the skin.
The best thing for me is this is instantly absorbed by the skin so there is no need to wait for it to settle into the skin and definitely no need to blot.
What are the ingredients I hear you ask? It is 10% Organic Grape Water so now you can see why it doesn’t irritate too many skins at all. I love it for my sensitive skin. It makes me feel so comforted and the smell is just divine. This costs around €8 and is available from the same stockists as mentioned above.
All of the products mentioned above are free from parabens, mineral oil, sodium laureth sulphate and all the other ingredients that are more harmful than good for our skin.
Have you tried any of the above products before? As I said they are all existing products in the range but have just had a makeover recently. I would highly recommend checking these out if you suffer from dehydration. I am surprised at how well my skin has taken to them.
Have a lovely day
