Lancome Teint Idole 24h was a favourite of mine a few years back and it recently got a little face lift. Not only is it now known as Teint Idole Ultra Wear but it also has a sexy new bottle and is now available in 40 shades, so there is something to suit us all.
The moment I put this on my face back in March of this year I asked mysef why I ever stopped using it in the first place. The scent alone makes me feel like I am using a luxurious, high end product and for us makeup feens there is no better feeling right?!
I am seriously loving this foundation for so many reasons.
The coverage is very buildable. Whether it’s a light daytime fresh face, or a full night time glam look you are after, I truly believe this foundation will meet your expectations.
Even though you can get decent coverage with this, my skin always looks radiant and healthy. I never look over caked with makeup.
The pump bottle dispenses just the right amount of product so you don’t waste any.
The shade range is fantastic. I was shade matched on the Lancome Shadefinder website and I found the colour to be spot on for me. I am shade 035 Beige Doire which is mainly a neutral shade with slight pink to it (it looks slightly yellow in the below picture but in person its more neutral) . I would say this is similar to a Mac NW25. I would have a more yellow undertone but this doesn’t look unnatural on me so the shades do adapt well to the skin.
This contains an SPF of 15. I tend to prefer a higher SPF but I cannot complain. As far as I can tell this doesn’t create flashback when used with flash photography.
I actually believe this foundation suits so many different skin types. I have normal, dehydrated skin and it looks great on me but Emma from Mastering Your Makeup reviewed it on her blog and she loved it too, even though she has oilier skin than I do.
It lasted so well on my skin, and Emma says the same for her oily skin. It didn’t break up on me at all during the day and still looked as fresh and radiant 6+ hours after application.
Oh, did I mention the packaging is pretty sleek too?
Are you a fan of this foundation? How does it wear on you? Are you curious to try it out?
