BIODERMA Hydrabio SPF range

What do I look for in a facial SPF? Lightweight, non greasy,  an SPF 30 or higher, hydrating and good quality. Is this hard to find? Not really (if you are willing to pay) to be honest. I do have a few favourites but one in particular has really caught my attention lately. I decided to bring the BIODERMA Hydrabio Perfecteur SPF 30 with me on my holidays for several reasons which I will of course fill you in on. But first, let me tell you a little about the product.

The BIODERMA Hydrabio Perfecteur SPF30 retails at €18.75 (not bad right?!) for a 40ml tube. It is marketed as a smoothing and moisturising radiance booster that visibly and immediately hydrates the skin, while also concealing blemishes and micro-wrinkles. It also protects the skin and prevents premature ageing due to its SPF 30 UVA/UVB protection.

So what do I think? Well firstly, I am chuffed with the price of this. For me, this is a very decent price and one I would happily repurchase without feeling like I was being ripped off. The packaging is brilliant. The pump makes it so easy to use and it dispenses just the right amount so there is no waste with this product.

The texture is velvety and smooth so it definitely leaves my skin looking more perfected. The texture reminds me of a pore filling primer and it does a similar enough job. There is a slight pinkish tone to this product which is the light reflective particles (not glitter) that work to conceal minor blemishes etc. This definitely doesn’t give any sort of coverage but it just makes the skin look better. While on holiday and even since being home I haven’t felt a real need to wear much makeup. Obviously, the fact that I am tanned helps but this little gem definitely does make me feel better in my skin.

I found the level of protection I got from this to be 100%. I applied this once a day in the morning and topped up with another product I will chat about below and I didn’t burn or even feel red at any stage. And I was in 30+ degree heat.

I also found that although my pigmentation did start to show through in the second week I definitely feel it isn’t as bad as it was on previous holidays. I can only put it down to these products.

The other product I want to chat about is the BIODERMA Hydrabio Eau de Soin SPF 30. This stuff is the business!

This is a moisturising water/mist for dehydrated skin that also contains UV protection (SPF 30). I fell in love with this product. Not only does it give great protection to the skin it is amazing for super easy application on the go or it can even be used as a makeup setting spray. Brilliant right?! I found this so handy to throw in my bag while I was out and about. I didn’t need a mirror to apply it as it is totally transparent. It also soaks in super quick and even cools you down when you get too warm. I also really enjoyed how hydrated my skin felt after using this! It’s a game changer for me. This product is €12.75 for a 50ml, again another really great price from BIODERMA.
