What do I look for in a concealer? No matter where I apply it on my face, it absolutely needs to have some decent coverage but without looking cakey or dry. Finding this can be tricky because often high coverage concealers, particularly budget buys can have a matte finish and as a result can leave the skin looking older than it is, definitely not something we are looking for right?!!
Fear not, Catrice have pulled a cracker with their Liquid Camouflage High Definition Concealer and for under €4 I cannot recommend this enough.
Firtsly, it is a liquid so it’s lightweight, easy to blend and can be used on all skin types.
It gives great coverage but does not sit on the skin. It melts into the skin, while still keeping it’s high coverage which means that the product doesn’t cake and most importantly won’t sit into fine lines and create a big awl mess. People of late are obsessed with concealers not sitting into fine lines around the eyes but the truth is, if you have lines in that area, the chances are, at some stage during the day the product will make it’s way into those lines, unless you make no facial expressions for the day!!! The key is to get a product, that doesn’t emphasise the lines that are already there but also that doesn’t create extra lines and crepey looking skin by causing over dryness. This concealer most definitely doesn’t do that.
Because of its high coverage it can be used all over the face. It is particularly great for covering under eye dark circles and any blemishes on the face.
The packaging is pretty standard but I kind of like it. It comes with a doe foot applicator so easy for application purposes. However, I tend to apply some to the back of my hand before applying. This will slightly warm up the product, giving an even smoother application.
The shade range is really disappointing though. Three shades means that lots of skin tones miss out on trying such a fab product. I am shade 2, Light beige.
This product definitely needs to be set with powder after application otherwise you may experience creasing.
Have you tried the concealer? What are your thoughts on it? Do you enjoy it as much as I do?
This gets a big 4 out of 5 Adorn.ie rating. Guess what it looses the points for? Yep, the lack of shades!! Please Catrice get it together and bring out more shades. More people need to try this product.
