Did someone say new skincare???!!!! And from Caudalie?
Yep, you heard right. Today’s post is all about the new VineActiv range from Caudalie. Can you feel the excitement in my tone? I am super excited to share this with you all. Skincare can be a bit of a hard one to chat about because what works for me, won’t necessarily work for you, but I will do my best to give you as much details as possible about the range and about how and why it worked for my particular skin type as well as advice on who else it might work for.
Just before we start can we please address the elephant in the room?! This was gifted to me at a press event a few weeks ago and I am using it since. Whatever I say below is my honest opinion, ain’t no point in making sh!t up right?!
Let’s start with the basics shall we?
Caudalie tell’s us that the VineActiv range is designed for “the woman on the go who is looking to maintain her healthy glow without her skin wearing her fast-paced lifestyle.” They also gave some pretty scary facts on their press release, close your eyes if you don’t want to know the truth about skin….
By the age of 33 the skins elasticity is reduced by 10%, concentrations of Vitamin C and E drops by 30-40% and if you have a hectic life you can be sure as hell that your skins natural defences are weakening as a result. They call this cell “burn out” which results in dull complexion and the beginning of fine lines and wrinkles.
Enter Caudalie with a super innovative idea. They have designed and patented an “Anti-Cell Burnout Complex” that will help to boost radiance, suppleness, collagen and the skins defence levels while helping to preserve the skins hyaluronic acid reserve (btw we totally need this for skin hydration). Clinical studies have also shown this formulation saves skin cells under oxidative stress up to 75% more than non treated cells and it activates natural cell antioxidant defence production by 225% more than non treated cells. Too much information? Let’s skip to the products and my thoughts on each of them.
First up is the VineActiv Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream €29 for 15ml
You will know by now that I have highly sensitive eyes and prior to this product all I could use was the La Roche Posay Toleriane De Yeux Eye Cream. I still love this product but it simply soothes and hydrates my eyes, it doesn’t give me any other skincare benefits. This one however, doesn’t irritate my eyes at all but contains the Anti Cell Burnout Complex and other fab ingredients to reduce puffiness and reduce the appearance of dark circles. Since using this my eye area just looks better. It looks brighter, hydrated and my eyes don’t look as heavy and dark. This honestly is one of the best eye creams I have tried to date, particularly for sensitive eyes.
VineActiv Glow Activating Anti Wrinkle Serum €39.50 for 30ml pump bottle
This is said to visibly correct wrinkles due to the combination of the burnout complex and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Clinical studies have shown that this improves pigmentation by 100%!! I use this twice daily and I have seen an improvement in the tone of my skin. I have less redness and less dark patches. It has by no means got rid of pigmentation completely yet but it has definitely made my overall skin look brighter and more radiant.
VineActiv 3-in1 Moisturiser €35 for 40ml tube
Again this product contains the same ingredients as the serum with the added benefits of a soft focus mattifying finish to the skin. I don’t personally find this product too matifying. It leaves a lovely glow to the skin and I have noticed a nice plump, smooth appearance to my skin after using this. This product doesn’t contain SPF so you do need to apply one on top every day….make sure you do now, ya hear!!
VineActiv Overnight Detoxing Oil €33 for a 30ml
This product is designed to actively neutralise the toxins that pollute the skin cells. It contains 100% natural ingredients including Omegas,Vitamin E, Grapeseed, Sweet Almond and Neroli amongst others. My skin looks amazing each morning after using this the night before. It smells incredible and works a treat on my terrible dehydration. Big thumbs up for this one.
I really am enjoying using this range. It is a simple, fuss free yet highly effective range that I do think lots of skin types would benefit from. Every skin types needs protection against the environment and we could all do with a boost of hydration that’s for sure. I think dry skins might find the moisturiser a little too light for them but would benefit from the other products. Otherwise I do think all other skn types would love this range. Oily skin in particular would find this a real treat. Oh and by the way, it all smells amazing too!!
Have you tried Caudalie before? I am a big fan of the brand in general so was only too delighted to road test their latest launch. Caudalie is available directly from the Caudalie Website where you will also find a full stockist list. I know it is definitely stocked in Space NK Dublin, Foody Pharmacy or in Mise Beauty Dundalk and Navan.
Have a lovely day
Anita xx
