I know, I know. I need to lay off on The Body Shop posts. But I just can’t help it. I am genuinely such a fan. Everyone that knows me knows if they want to buy me a real treat then they need to get me a body butter from The Body Shop. For me, they are ultimate indulgence.
Anyways, although Halloween isn’t my favourite time of the year, I do associate it with cosy pj’s, nights in and maybe a bit of trick or treat along the way. Cosy feels is another favourite of mine, can’t ya tell.
The Halloween special edition launch from The Body Shop has me feeling all warm inside. The Vanilla Pumpkin range is Autumnal happiness in a beauty product. The scent is warm, inviting and almost calming, dare I say it. Oh, and the orange packaging is seasonal perfection too!
If I can try to explain the scent, it smells like freshly baked muffins. You know the smell?! Delish. This mesmerising scent is a hint of pumpkin, some vanillla from Madagascar, with dashes of tonka beans, maple syrup and hazelnut. See, freshly baked cakes!
Two of the products are 100% Vegan and all the range is Vegetarian. Also, all of The Body Shop products are fair trade and 100% cruelty free. #Foreveragainstanimaltesting
So, let me give you a quick run through of the 4 products in the range.
The Body Butter is €20.95 for 250ml. What can I say? Their Body Butter’s are hands down my favourite body product ever. I am using them for a very long time and nothing has compared. The ultimate treat!
The Hand Cream is €6.50 for 30ml. These are brilliant handcreams. I use them all the time and have one in my bag, one on my desk in work and one on my bed side locker (all in difference scents of course). I love them because they soak into the skin quickly but are still very hydrating. The size is very handy for on the go too. Also, a great way of trying out the scent for a small price.
The Shimmer Mist is €12.50 for 100ml. These are lovely for a night out. They are a light body spray with a touch of glitter. Very cute, especially for the party season.
The Shower Gel is €8.95 for 250ml. Again, a great, cheaper alternative to trying the scent. Shower with this, apply body butter and then the mist for the ultimate Halloween treat.
So what do you think? I can’t fault this range. It’s bloody delish, excuse the bad Halloween pun.
I doubt I will ever not like The Body Shop bodycare range. They do no wrong in my eyes.
Have you had a sniff? Would a Halloween treat be something you would buy yourself? For me, products like this are a great alternative to buying yourself sweets and cakes. Well, for me anyway.
Let me know what you think below.
Oh, and while you are here, I would really appreciate if you could sign the petition against animal testing. The Body Shop are working hard to ban global animal testing. This should not be an issue in this day and age but it is and we need to stop it. Please, please, please, do it for our fury friends. Sign The Body Shop petition here.
Happy Halloween folks,
Ps. I did use the official Body Shop images for this post but how could I not? They fit perfectly with my website and they are just so cute. Also, I did receive the body butter and the hand cream as a PR gift but as I said, I buy from this brand time and time again and have done for years. You get the idea!
