Let me just cut straight to the point. The Vita Liberata Body Blur is my favourite beauty purchase in a very, very long time. I am so happy I found it but almost upset at myself for only trying it recently. I have seen this on blogs and social media for a fair while now but for some reason I just never got around to buying it. Well I have it now and I want to tell you all about it. Q the rave review….
So Body Blur is described as an instant HD skin finish with 24 hour wear. It is also said to be a body makeup that perfects the skin, gives the skin a natural tint while reflecting light for a photo-ready finish. It is a wash off formula so it doesn’t tint the skin.
Let me tell you why I love this so much:
-My favourite thing about this is the handiness of it. You don’t need to be precise with the application and you don’t need to worry about staining your hands. I literally slap this on with my hands and blend it in with my fingers and everytime it is perfect. No streaks, no uneven skin tone. It is simply perfection. I use this daily now as part of my morning routine It literally takes me an extra 5 minutes maximum but the results are beautiful. It effortlessly washes off your hands too with some soap and water.
-The colour is beautiful. It isn’t super dark nor is it too light. It gives the perfect wash of colour and adds a glow that J Lo would be envious of. I use this over my fake tan to even out any patches I am unhappy with. I also use it for extra colour or to my untanned (pale) skin to take that pasty look away. It works so well for both.
-Not only does it give a fab colour but it actually works at hiding imperfections. I found it lessened the look of spider veins on the back of my legs and also reduced the look of any cellulite. Anything than does this is a winner for me.
-I was conscious that this is a wash off formula which often means it will transfer onto clothes. I have to say I have not had much of an issue with transferring. If I get dressed instantly after using it I might get a small amount on my clothes but the majority of it remains intact. I am not sure if this would transfer onto white but if it didn’t I would highly recommend this for a bride to give that heavenly glow we all want on our big day. Just test it with white before the big day. It is a waterproof formula too.
-I have used this as a primer under my foundation when my face was very pale and it just added a beautiful finish to the skin. I had no issues with breakouts or dryness afterwards.
-The formula is free from parabens, harsh chemicals, alcohol, silicones and all the other things we all try to avoid now a days.
-I am very conscious of my skin at the moment and the damage the sun can do to it. I plan to get a spray tan before I go away to the sun next. However, I am worried that it won’t last or it will become patchy in the intense heat. However, I believe with Body Blur that I can now cover any imperfections and areas my tan has worn off before heading out. This way I can stay protected from the sun while still having a glowing, even tan.
Can you see why I love it so much? It truly is my favourite body product ever. Coming from someone who just isn’t an instant tan type of gal, that is a massive statement. But there are a few things I would change or alter about this product….
-When first applied there isn’t any obvious glitter present but as the day goes on and the formula adapts to my skin I do see some sparkles when I look closer. This doesn’t bother me too much but I kind of wish they didn’t exist. I like glitter at night but not when I am trying to fake that “naturally perfect” look during the day.
-Until I tried this I thought the price was a little steep. At around €37 for 100ml I was reluctant to see why I would need this in my routine for that price. As you can tell, after using this I am hooked and will not hesitate about the price the next time I need to restock.
-My one pet peeve about this product is actually the packaging. Although I do like the tube as it is easy to use I am not a fan of how the tube leaks once the top is off. I just wish it was in a pump bottle or something for ease of use and to avoid spillages.
Vita Liberata is sold in many pharmacies throughout the country and is also available on the Vita Liberata website. The cheapest stockist I found was Feelunique which was only around €35.
I also have the pHenomenal 2-3 week (yep it lasts 2-3 weeks) tan to try but I want to get this in the mousse formula as I have the lotion and I also want to try the Trystal Minerls Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals. If you have tried either please let me know, I would love some feedback before I buy them.
Have you tried Body Blur before? What are your thoughts? I bet you will find it hard to resist purchasing this if you are a fake tan fan like me right?
I give this a 4 out of 5 rating!! Don’t forget to rate it below!!!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy tanning

December 9, 2016 at 6:11 pmHi,
Have you tried the Trystal Minerls Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals as yet?
I have, if you haven’t already bought then I just thought worth mentioning as a gradual tan, it’s a useless product, certainly on my skin.
I use daily as a bronzer and it’s a great bronzer and is lasting for ages, only a light dusting necessary, but I would never buy again for fake tan purposes.
Every other product I’ve tried is fantastic. The 2-3 week tan is far better than any other developing tan that I’ve used.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Anna
