Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

Right, so I need to warn you. I am definitely not a matte OR a liquid lipstick gal. I hate the look and feel of matte lips on me so when I instantly fell for the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks I was pretty shook!

Let’s just begin by saying, these are only €5 for 6g of product! It’s kind of hard to believe that something so good and of super high quality can have such a tiny price tag. I have only tried three of the paler shades but they are unreal. I’ve also seen loads of people rave about the darker shades so the whole 7 shades seem to be a big hit.

The first thing I noticed was how lightweight the formula is. This makes applying them a doddle! Although they are a lighter consistency that doesn’t mean that they need several layers from them to be built up. I get my desired look in one swipe but some shades may need a second coat, depending on the colour. Pop a gloss on top of any of these to add another dimension!

They dry down quiet quickly and stay matte throughout the day. For me, (even though I hate the feeling of matte!!) they don’t feel too dry on the lips. And these really do last without cracking. They are transfer proof and even more important, make out proof!! I don’t see them disappearing on the inner parts of the lips either. The only way to really get rid of these is to wipe them off with a damn tissue.

The shape of the doe foot applicator really hugs around the contour of the lips so it makes it much easier to get a straight line and to cover the whole lip in one swipe. Well done Wet n Wild, you did gooooodddd!!!

The only downfall I have for these is the smell. For some reason I expected a vanilla scent but they actually have a chemical smell which is a bit of a turnoff. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say.

The shades I have (starting from the top) are Nudie Patootie, Nudist Peach and Rebel Rose. I can’t decide on my favourite but that nude shade screams supermodel right?!

So, what are your thoughts? Have you tried these yet? I bet you will be after reading this post. I am totally obsessed to be honest and for €5 can you really go too far wrong.

If you want to grab some of these then check out your local Dunnes or pharmacy as lots of them are stockists. I also found these online on salonshop.ie if you can’t get them.

If you want to see another one of my favourite Wet n Wild product then check out my review here.  And I will definitely have more reviews coming soon from this brand so stay tuned.

Until then, peace out

Anita
