Normally I use a foundation for a few weeks before I am totally satisfied with it. So, when I fell in love with the Wet’n’Wild PhotoFocus foundation on first use I knew I was on to a winner! I continued to use it for a few weeks and thankfully my thoughts didn’t change!
I’ve honestly never had as many compliments on my skin (yes, not my foundation) as I have when using this. I didn’t have any idea what this foundation claimed to do. When I looked it up it says that it creates a “your skin, but better” look. It claims to be a matte, light-diffusing complex that gives the skin a #nofilter perfected look! This foundation has been tested under seven different lighting setups to ensure it looks good in all lighting and won’t cause a white flashback. This happens when a product contains a high SPF or lots of light-reflecting particles.
So why do I like this foundation? Well, it is super lightweight which means it is so comfortable on the skin. It is quiet a liquid formulation but for being so watery it has really great coverage and a little amount goes a really long way. I apply two stripes to each cheek and one to my chin and forehead and that’s all I need! On bad skin days I may need to add a small extra amount to my cheeks.
It does give a matte finish but it doesn’t look cakey or drying on the skin. Infact I think it gives a very subtle radiance which is so flattering.
I also found that my pores definitely look less obvious when I use this.
I honestly had very few issues with this product. It wears so well on my skin and doesn’t break up throughout the day. It can cling to slightly drier areas so be sure to prime well.
I do have to say that the shade range in Ireland for this product is too small. There are only four shades available, compared to twenty in the states, which is such a pity. I got the darkest shade which is Golden Beige and it isn’t even that dark but is beautiful for a medium tanned skin tone.
Although I do wish this product had a pump instead of the spatula for hygiene purposes it is quiet handy for application as you don’t need to use the back of your hand or a palette to dispense it on to!
Best of all this foundation is only €6.95 for 30ml. To find your nearest stockist you can check out this link. I bought mine in Dunnes Stores, Blessington.
The above photo is my skin, wearing this foundation and a small amount of powder for at least 10 hours!!! I know right?! I do have normal, dehydrated skin so oily skin may not get as long wear from this.
I’m pretty shocked at how well this foundation works for me and can honestly say it rivals most of the ones in my collection so please comment below and let me know your experience with it because it is almost too good to be true for me!
A huge 4.5 out of 5 Adorn rating for this one, only loosing half a point for the lack of shades.

Wet n Wild 2018 Collection + Mini Review - Adorn.ie - Irish Nail and Beauty Blog
August 19, 2018 at 7:09 am[…] Another favourite of mine from Wet n Wild is the Photo Focus Foundation €6.95 and they have recently added a darker shade to the range. Desert Beige is pretty dark to be honest, but I would imagine it will work great for anyone that likes a darker tan. The usual shade I use is Golden Beige and you can read my review of this here. […]
